Blues in the Garden Festival officially announces its seventh edition, which will take place between August 21–23, 2026, at the Uzul Stadium in Dărmănești City, Bacău County, Romania.
The festival returns with a new visual identity, marking a natural transformation for one of the most authentic events dedicated to blues music in Romania.
After six successful editions that have brought to the stage artists from both Romania and abroad, Blues in the Garden Festival aims to further strengthen its position as a landmark of the Romanian and European summer cultural scene, combining the musical experience with the unique atmosphere of the Uz Valley and the town of Dărmănești.
Blues in the Garden has grown organically — from a passionate local initiative into a festival recognized on the national and European map of blues events. The seventh edition marks a new chapter: a rebranding that reflects the energy, diversity, and free spirit of modern blues.
Founded in 2020, Blues in the Garden Festival was born out of a passion for blues, nature, and community. Each year, the event brings to the Dărmănești stage both established artists and young musicians, in a setting that combines the live energy of blues with the relaxed atmosphere of open air. The festival is organized with the support of local authorities, cultural partners, and a growing community of volunteers and music lovers.
Beyond its artistic component, Blues in the Garden Festival remains faithful to its mission of promoting cultural tourism in the Trotuș Valley area and supporting the authentic values of the Dărmănești community.
As part of this mission, the festival will also host the third edition of the art camp “Chromatic and Musical Harmonies,” featuring Romanian and international painters — one of the days being dedicated to children passionate about painting.
The “Guitar Master Class” workshop for children interested in guitar will also return for its third edition, and our friends from Riding Nature will once again join us next year for the now-classic mountain bike tour “Lake Contour”. And, if you reach LaCai, you can enjoy a horseback ride on the trails of the Nemira Mountains, through places that will delight your soul.
The nearby attractions — such as Poiana Valea Uzului Dam (the first dam in Romania built with buttresses, and the second of its kind in Europe), the ”Creasta Nemirei” Natural Reserve (which, according to the Bern Convention, protects 19 species of mammals, 10 species of birds, 9 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, and 4 species of plants), the ”Izvorul Alb” Natural Reserve (a nationally protected area for the preservation of the yew tree), along with Știrbei Palace and three churches declared historical monuments, are all located in the immediate vicinity of the festival and await to be discovered. The Salt mine in Târgu Ocna, the Ghica Palace in Comănești or the Ghica Castle in Dofteana are places that can make the weekend of August 21-23, 2026, an unforgettable mini-vacation for our festival-goers.
The full program for the 2026 edition, along with the line-up of invited artists, will be announced soon through dedicated online campaigns and press communications.
