BLACK RIVER DELTA vin la Blues in the garden festival #8!

Există blues născut pe malurile fluviului Mississippi. Există blues crescut în cluburile din Chicago. Și există blues care vine dintr-un loc la care poate nu v-ați fi gândit: din pădurile întunecate ale Suediei.

De acolo vin Black River Delta. Din Bollnäs, în regiunea Hälsingland, acolo unde iernile sunt lungi, pădurile par nesfârșite, iar liniștea poate spune uneori mai mult decât o mie de cuvinte.

Și toate acestea se aud în muzica lor. Blues brut. Rock modern. Chitare apăsate. Melancolie nordică. Un sound care își trage rădăcinile din muzica lui Robert Johnson și R.L. Burnside, dar care poartă și influențele unor artiști precum The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr. sau Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Au lansat albumele Devil on the Loose (2016), VOL II. (2018) și Shakin’ (2021), construindu-și treptat un univers muzical propriu. Dar ceea ce ni se pare cu adevărat fascinant la Black River Delta este locul din care își iau inspirația. Nu încearcă să recreeze peisajele Sudului american.

Își cântă propriile peisaje. Drumurile pustii din Hälsingland. Pădurile de pini. Iernile lungi. Dorința de a pleca și sentimentul că ceva te cheamă mereu înapoi acasă. Toate transformate în blues-rock.

Iar acum, povestea lor ajunge într-un loc care, într-un fel, le-ar putea părea familiar.

Tot lângă pădure. Tot între munți. Dar de data aceasta, în România. Pe 20 august 2027, pădurile din Hälsingland se întâlnesc cu Munții Nemira. Și ceva ne spune că întâlnirea asta nu va fi deloc una liniștită. Pentru că BLACK RIVER DELTA vin să aducă în ”grădina” noastră o altă față a blues-ului. Mai întunecată. Mai aspră. Mai sălbatică.Și abia așteptăm să o ascultați LIVE!

There’s blues born on the banks of the Mississippi River. There’s blues that grew up in the clubs of Chicago. And then there’s blues that comes from a place you might not expect: The dark forests of Sweden.

That’s where Black River Delta come from. From Bollnäs, in the Hälsingland region, where winters are long, forests seem endless, and silence can sometimes speak louder than a thousand words. And you can hear all of that in their music. Raw blues. Modern rock. Heavy guitars. Nordic melancholy. A sound rooted in the music of Robert Johnson and R.L. Burnside, but also influenced by artists such as The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr. and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

With albums like Devil on the Loose (2016), VOL II. (2018) and Shakin’ (2021), they’ve gradually created a musical world of their own. But what we find truly fascinating about Black River Delta is where they draw their inspiration from. They don’t try to recreate the landscapes of the American South.They turn their own landscapes into music.The empty roads of Hälsingland. The pine forests. The long winters. The desire to leave and the feeling that something will always call you back home.All transformed into blues-rock.

And now, their story is taking them somewhere that might feel strangely familiar.

Once again, close to the forest. Once again, surrounded by mountains. But this time, in Romania.

On 20 August 2027, the forests of Hälsingland will meet the Nemira Mountains.

And something tells us this meeting won’t be a quiet one.

Because BLACK RIVER DELTA are bringing a different side of the blues to our garden.

Darker. Rougher. Wilder.

And their very first encounter with a Romanian audience will be with the Blues Family in Dărmănești!
