Din Crystal Springs, Mississippi, până pe scena Blues in the garden. Din gospel-ul cântat în familie, la blues. Din cluburile și scenele Sudului american, alături de legendarul Bobby Rush, până la un Grammy Award. 
Povestea lui Dexter Allen are toate ingredientele muzicii pe care o iubim.
S-a născut în Crystal Springs, Mississippi, iar povestea lui muzicală a început acolo unde au început poveștile multor mari artiști ai Sudului american: în biserică, cântând gospel alături de familie.
Apoi a venit blues-ul.
Și a venit Bobby Rush.
Legenda blues-ului american l-a remarcat și l-a cooptat ca lead guitarist în trupa sa. Legătura sa cu Rush a continuat și după lansarea carierei sale solo de succes în 2007, iar relația a atins un punct culminant în 2024, când contribuțiile lui Allen la albumul lui Rush, *All My Love for You*, au ajutat discul să câștige premiul Grammy pentru cel mai bun album de blues tradițional. Allen a intrat astfel în elita lumii muzicale – comunitatea laureaților premiilor Grammy.
Chitarist. Vocalist. Compozitor. Multi-instrumentist. Producător.
Un artist cu propriul său amestec de Mississippi blues, soul, R&B și funk, cu o carieră solo construită de aproape două decenii.
Iar pe 22 august 2027, pentru prima dată în România, Dexter Allen aduce Mississippi blues în grădina noastră.

From Crystal Springs, Mississippi, to the Blues in the garden stage. From singing gospel with his family to the blues. From the clubs and stages of the American South, alongside the legendary Bobby Rush, all the way to a Grammy Award. Dexter Allen’s story has all the ingredients of the music we love.
Born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, Dexter’s musical journey began where the stories of so many great Southern artists began: in church, singing gospel with his family.
Then came the blues.
And then came Bobby Rush. The American blues legend spotted Dexter’s talent and brought him into his band as lead guitarist. His connection with Rush continued even after Dexter launched his successful solo career in 2007, reaching a remarkable milestone in 2024, when Allen’s contributions to Rush’s All My Love for You helped the record win the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. With that achievement, Allen joined one of music’s most distinguished communities — Grammy Award winners.
